Every Little Thing is Better with Exercise!

Yes, fitness requires work. But just like those other things you've worked at all your life—your career, your education, your children—an investment in fitness rewards you many times over. Not only now, but for the entire time you are in this mortal coil.

Every daily chore becomes easier when you gain strength. Loading and unloading sacks of groceries from the car is a snap. Instead of falling into your chair at work, you can sit down gracefully. You develop the energy to run from work to soccer practice without losing steam. Running up and down the stairs won't leave you puffing like a locomotive. You just feel good.

And when I say everything is better, I mean EVERYTHING is better. Sleep is better, sex is better. I don't know if it's the improvement of muscle tone in the lower abdominal area, or if it's because you are more self-confident and tuned into your body, but any woman who works out will agree, sex is better when you're fit.

So what are you waiting for? Another New Year? Start walking, jogging, biking or swimming. Start lifting weights or taking aerobics classes. As long as your doctor has no objections (always check with him or her first) get moving. You'll thank me for it later... ;-)
